Our Skin

Our Skin

A Poem by KeeD
"

Just a poem for someone who inspires me

"
The Chair
It sits there
Awaiting my presence

The Artist
He looks at my canvas
With perceptive eyes

The Body
Pale like snow
Ink would make you glow

The Detail
Eyes so deep
The needle lost in time

Blood Rush
Red with the needles touch
Cheeks blush with pain and pleasure

The Session
Long hours of severe pain
Artistic gain all in your name

The Tattoo
A portrait of you
The description of your beautiful face

The Message
Forever within
A constant reminder of what has been

and

what's to come

Poetic Love
&
Appreciation

I'm a canvas and you my inspiration

Author's Note

KeeD
A piece on someone who has poetically inspired me.
Ink is permanent, think of it as a landlord always at your door knocking for rent. If it's pretty you don't mind. If it's a mistake like a one night stand on your behind, God help you find an explanation out of that one. :P

This is how I feel every time I get inked. Some display their art pieces on their walls. I on the other hand display it on my skin. Absolutely beautiful take on the entire process. I constantly ache for the intimate feeling between artist and canvass. Thank you for sharing. :D

a portrait of your beauty is all one needs when lonely and can't get to love. thanks for the lovely poem.

I like the buzz sound of this one...the lighter words to express the statement and then the enveloping lines to etch them in deep...you combine both types of art...and this is visible in the lines...and the inspiration helps...does it not...and with your Author's note...there is no going back...like a thin line between love and hate...

I like this. It's cool and different.

Wow. I really liked this one. I myself have no tattoos, a blank canvas for time to add a road map.

I hope whoever inspired this...loved it as much as I do. I really like the author's note about "ink is permanent", I would imagine that your inspiration has left a permanent mark on you. Very nice. Plus I enjoy tattoos so that just made me love this poem even more.
