An Orc's day dream

Feel bad for the little guy

Body pale green 

tinted with black

Palms like muddy terrain

Bruised back

Just a simple peon

Serving King Kel'thu'zhad

Work or be extinguished 

Slave to the coal mines

Mining pick my companion

Orc'ish speak it not'

Not a single friend

For Kel'thu'zhad make it their end

I'm lonely and tired, there's

No love in the life of an Orc

Just work, work, work

Around the clock

If I ever escaped

I'd like to travel the land

Maybe become a minstrel

Join the musical caravan 

I'd like to fall in love

With a human girl

Protect her and 

Provide her the world

Who am I kidding

I'm just an Orc

Even dreaming such dreams

Results in my head chopped off

Oh but the thought

Of a milk maid by my side

Living in a barn 

Creating new life 

"As a whip hits my back" - GET BACK TO WORK SLAVE 

I must dream no more

Slack shall I not

Mine for lord Kel'thu'zhad

Be gone useless thoughts

A tear rolls down 

My pale green skin

Dries up along the cracks

I'm just an Orc, as I fade to black.

wrote this down in like 5mins, just random thoughts in my head about what an orc must feel like.

I've always kinda wondered about that too. If it's possible for men and dwarves, and sometimes even the elves, to become corrupted, then is it possible for an orc to be, at his heart, a good man . . . I mean a good orc? Curious curiosity. R.A. Salvatore explored that theme really well with Drizzt.

Witchcraft and mystical creatures, you do them so well! It's a magical read, full of emotional impact...it's like the POW in your face, take that, slay this dragon kind of poetry. It has impact, and a mystical quality about it, sad ending...

inspiration from this to be honest came from watching a documentary about an Indian farmer harvesting his crops, slogging day and night just for those few cents he makes a day. One natural disaster aka floods.( the king in my poem ) Can wash his entire livelihood away. So what does such a person do besides dream Frieda. Man sometimes I don't really appreciate what I have, I wish I paid more attention. xoxo Kee.
