Silent Killer

Silent Killer

 Silent Killer

I can see you tear her health apart,
cigarette, cigarette.

Play her lungs like drums
 from the very start

You make grey smoke appear
Cloud her mind,
make her pain disappear

You block her inhibitions
Fill her head with stressful visions

Yet she breathes you in
You seem like
 the sweetest sin
sin ,sin
Cigarette...
 Cigarette.....
Cigarette......
Cigarette.......

Cigarette ,
I can feel you off her breath.

Cigarette,
One last puff of imminent death.

Malignant threat you consume her
Your abnormal cells infuse her
Cancer you invade her

Cigarette, Oh how you played her..

Cigarette...
Cigarette.....
Cigarette.......

$7.50 repeating,
Now her life's depleting
This sickness is the end
One last wish for your sweet embrace
Your bond with her I can never replace

Cigarette , I can feel you off her breath.

Cigarette, One last puff of imminent death.

Cigarette, I have never given in.

Cigarette, Yet you somehow always win.

Cigarette...

make me...
just  want to...
Die.

To bad people cant have the same relationships with other humans as people can with objects ... if we could the world would be loved and needed ♡

Thank you :)
I like how this reads as if cigarettes were people-- it makes it sound like your talking to a person. In that context i read this a couple of different ways-- one, like your talking to a person that is not good for someone you care for. I mean all you have to do is repalce the word "cigarette" with that persons name and then you can read it that way, know what i mean. And the second way i read this is just like a really cool message about the dangers of smoking cigarettes. Personally, when i read it like it's talking about a person that is bad for someone that is special to you-- it makes it very rivetting and penetrating. Very cool poem anyway you decide to interpret it.

I love this poem... despite the fact how depressing it is. For some reason, it reminds me of the song "Feel Good Drag" by Anberlin. The cigarettes tend to not only "cloud her mind", but the guy as well with its constant lure. And the cigarettes are totally effortless in its malignant threat but just as deadly potent to everyone around. Lastly, constantly mentioning cigarettes in your song, makes its so ironically hard to evade. :)

I've always loved poems about cigarettes, mainly cause I smoke and the literal smoke fascinates me. I saw a giant metaphor here, not sure if you were meaning a literal cigarette or a harmful lover...? Regardless, it's well written. Very nice. :)
