Is Silence Golden?

Is Silence Golden?

A Poem by I've Killed Lions

I've learned from early on not to talk,

To keep my mouth shut,

To keep my ideas locked,

My words were trying to infiltrate a deaf ear,

Your words a prison which I fear,

Every syllable that leaves your lip,

Is only another crack of your whip,

Lesson learned, Hope forgotten,

Every idea and thought better left in,

Inside my head and my mouth,

Every scream is just a waste of breth,

Every word forgotte nand left,

Why bother speaking to the deaf?

They will enver hear me,

Yet I continue to try,

Maybe if one person would hear me,

No they won't it's a lie,

intentional ignorance on your behalf,

While I'm left to rot in this jail of silence,

Invisbiltiy's grip at my throat,

Trying to  yell let me go,

Once again yelling in a deaf ear,

Will my voice always be crippled by fear?

"why bother speaking to the deaf?"
Christoph caught all the errors in typing. This writing was fantastic. Your writing always gets under my skin. Great job K.
