Stings of a Farewell

Stings of a Farewell

A Poem by I've Killed Lions

I believed in what could come,
My faith was lost,
I knew you would protect me,
Where are you now?
When enemies advance,
Where have you gone?
I trusted in what I couldn't see,
I fell backwards through inexistent arm,
If this is some sort of sick joke,
Then sadly I've missed the punch line,
If this was meant to be a dream,
Then it turned into a nightmare,
If it was suppose to be perfect,
Then perfection isn't what it's ought to be,
So I'm terribly sorry,
But I just want to be left alone in my misery,
Don't bother to try and stop me,
Let me rot in sadness,
Don't be a hero and save me,
I've gone pass the point of no return,
Don't say what you will want to be,
I've already lost trust in your hypocrisy,
So this is good bye...... forever

Don't be a hero and save me....
Those, my friend, are haunting words. I'm rather impressed. You are starting to develop a style. It was a good poem and an engrossing read.
