Moonlight

Moonlight

A Poem by Kevin Doran
"

Another piece written for my creative writing class... About losing to your inner desires

"

Moonlight

Whispers softly

Caressing their bodies

Writhing as their entangled

Souls do battle against opposing

Forces warring in this contained battleground

Waning with the moonlight, one victorious

Soul battle worn and weeping

Alone it mourns losing

To the beast

Giving in

Killing.

Author's Note

Kevin Doran
The poem is written using specific words per line to form the shape of the poem, the shape to me is important as the waxing and waning of the moons shape with the poem was the desired effect... so anything asking me to change the shape should be left out please. :-)
oh, one more thing, the lines are meant to flow into each other so sometimes the last word is the first word... if that makes sense?

The diamond form of a poem. I had to do one for my creative writing class. I really like the poem, it has the perfect starter to draw someone in.
