Shadows Of Solitude
A Poem by Khalab Darnell

Shadows of Solitude
In the nadir of darkness I haunt thee in thy shadows, monitoring thy
every move. No one can obtain my soul for the epitome of my being is
neither soul nor heart but the darkness of mortal thoughts. A pain no
one wishes to acquire, which brings a warm feeling such as an ember from
a youthful fire. The flames grow larger as I go deeper into the
shadows losing the path I took so long to gather. No one around to
commend my pain just a slight drizzle of verdict rain, from people who
refuse to comprehend the thoughts and beliefs of a competent man. So i
ask you; sit while I stand but be afraid to take hand of the shadows and
demons of disparity of desperate man~Khalab D. Goldsmith
