Massive Wounds

Massive Wounds

A Poem by LETitBeKnown

I only thought that I could wash the filth with lies.

Undone buttons and pulled off sheets.

Each scar caressed by an unfamiliar voice.

I've lost all touch.

His lips won't void my sorrow.

Your ghost still fills each breath.

I only thought that i could stitch myself with lies

It only tore me open.

These wounds are massive.

I quite liked it, yet I feel the ending, not entirely the last time but in general, was cut short. I love the whole concept and word choice to describe the wounds, but maybe another stanza before the last line would make that line even more powerful and meaningful and to the poem overall.
Otherwise, very nice work! ^^

Life is full of flaw. I can accept that. We create ourselves, but people don't see us the way we are. To you; I'm just an external image with a name. If I were to give you an internal piece of me, yo.. more..
