Incompatible

Incompatible

A Poem by LETitBeKnown

Behind frames and still blind

Moving in to smother

Gagging at all thoughts but one

And too afraid to kill

The air perfumed, it's death

Clinging to a lie

Why grasp this poison?

Standing so short of yourself

Automatically switched off

It's now a familiar disgust

"Step back I say"

A simple touch and I cringe

A face too numb to feel

Wrapping thy body in gold

A mind that's incompatible

Longing to disappear

The availability has me rotting

Have I not made it obvious yet

Our lips are never bound

Nor our hands ever joined

And I despise you

For your lack of knowing anything at all.

I love the way you woven this poem and the message behind it. Read it more than once because I simply loved it. The ending is certainly a powerful one "And I despise you For your lack of knowing anything at all" Exceptional work indeed.

"A mind that's incompatible" for what ever reason this stanza stood out the most for me. I really like your style of writing. It's different and reads/feels natural, not forced. Well written.
