Slowly she moves forward, moving jerkily as if lassoed by invisible rope pulling relentlessly onward to the dismal precipice. With each step taken screeching, screaming, shrilling brain matter wishes, waits, wants an end, but cannot stop treacherous movements.
A deep, dark despairing pit engulfing, drawing ever nearer jagged edges leading upward from vast empty caverns pervading nothingness. Roaring, thundering, pounding emptiness belittles eardrums. Part not wanting cessation, relishing thoughts just succumbing; eagerly awaiting numbness proposed amid death.
Hovering on brinks threshold, crucial steps compelling momentum, while overwhelming sadness imagining catastrophe, letting go, giving in. What was that? Faint tones detected; Tinny at first then growing intensely, noise sounding arrival like trumpets gathering within decadent ceremonies, bringing her out of fitful fantasies.
Lethargically opening eyelid slits resembling apple peels; identifying device causing obnoxious, repeating, pealing. Sharp swift brutal whacks thudding against button banishing signals most annoying. Unhappy awakened yet eternally grateful clock sounded dream closures before becoming living nightmare.
