State of my soul

State of my soul

A Poem by Keenan Broad
"

Just got kind of sad one night.

"
My soul is ripped in two. Half for me, the other for you. You refused it. Too much pain surrounding the subject of my being. Too many broken memories gone in a flash of hatred. Do not hold on, do not hold back. When I am gone the time will continue as will the hate. Not the hate of memories, but the hatred of decision and consequence. The hatred of selfishness. Each day comes with a reason to stop. As the days turn to weeks, the weeks to months, the realization to give in only became easier. Now I'm torn in two, one half shattered, the other thrown away. I feel the pain seeping through my rib cage nearing my heart. The beats get slower, I can count the seconds between them waiting.. hoping..
