Of All Days

Of All Days

A Poem by Keenan Broad

Of all days.. Why today? Why did he hurt, why did she cry, why did none of us see the signs. Why didn't we listen to the words that they said? Hear the hurt in their voices, see the pain in their eyes. Did we ignore the open wounds, turning away hoping it would only bruise. We left and now we're the ones to blame, we cannot justify the excuses we proclaim.
