Alone

Alone

A Poem by Keenan Broad

The beauty of silence embarks on a journey. Through ones heart to his mind, loneliness begins to set. In a room full of people, the silence creeps through the white noise of voices. Eyes closed, mind open, heart misshapen, soul taken. It hurts to be alone. It kills to feel alone. The silence seeps through your ears.. Piercing your mind. Halting each pleasant thought from passing. A synapse of sadness. Each inhale henceforth is dead weight filling the lungs. Each exhale powerful enough to collapse ones heart. Tears begin to flow like raindrops from gloomy clouds. Each larger than the last. Each blink of the eye drains more hurt onto the face of the one who is alone. Don't cry, young child. Do you feel those raindrops? Do you feel the cool breeze chilling each tear? You are not alone. The clouds in the sky cry for you, the wind feels your hurt and with each gust tries to dry your tears filled eyes. You are not alone. The world will hold you with its God given love. The earth will tremble over ever breaking heart. You are never alone.
