Seasons Without Reason - Forever

Seasons Without Reason - Forever

A Poem by Keenan Broad

You and I. As we lay here tonight, not all is right. But nothing lasts forever. The rain is pouring, tears flood the room. The casual flickers of lightning reveal two figures. The rain reduces, the light consumes. The sun exfoliates the two. Standing, not fighting. Staring with care. Nothing lasts forever. The sun concludes, the clouds protrude, the white flakes flow with ease. Two once again, exiting to enter the world. Frozen blossoms melting upon rosy cheeks. The shining reflection of light emitted from the frosted earth. Nothing lasts forever. The chill has faded, the trees have shed. Footprints left on scattered leaves. Nothing lasts forever. The seasons disperse, but my love shall stay, one thing lasts forever.
