Hold on

Hold on

A Poem by Keisha Danielle

Do people hold onto you?
Do they make you feel important?
Or are you just an empty pan on the back burner of their lives?

No one remembers you
No one cares.
Not even the family.

You feel all alone in this big, wide world
But no one holds on.
No ones true.

They say their you're friend but
they really aren't.

So who really holds on?
Who's cared from the start?

No one.

If you died no one would show.
If it were your birthday no one would call.

How can people just not care at all.

You had a friend you've known for years
She said you weren't friends and that
brought you to tears.

I hold onto everyone
But no one holds me

I try to show my love
I try to show I care
I show my support
But still no one dares.

Do I deserve no true love
No true friends
No true kin?

Am I just floating around in this world I'm in?

Someone please hold onto me
Don't let me go
Don't forget, please.
