Not sure why this one was called "Zeal," because that word, in its more positive aspects, suggests enthusiasm, whereas the poem seems to describe the frustrated feeling associated with writers block. Perhaps the poet's determination to keep on writing can be described as a sort of zeal, but above all, be patient. When the muse wants to say something, it will let you know.
I enjoyed reading your poem and spoke to me about my struggles at times to give voice to stories or poems. Just as, Chris mentioned, in her keen assessment storytellers often battle with writers block. It is a malady we all fight at some point. There are many time I have put aside unfinished works for days or even years to return later to them in order to recapture their voice. Thank you for sharing your poem.
