The father of reality.

The father of reality.

A Poem by Kay Salisu Titilola

If Imagination is just a fantasy,
We'll have just be living it right in our heads.
But as the father of all realities,
We can sense its effects everywhere.

Reality and imagination. We must use our imagination to create reality. We must dream to create. Powerful and outstanding words shared my friend.

Interesting take on imagination in this one. Where does it cease and reality begin? The poet here seems to be saying imagination is the source or all reality. Are we then just a dream of God? Have to dwell on that one a bit.

We are our imaginations Kay. Even in my imagination there are places I am afraid to visit. Without an imagination, this poet would be bereft of words. Thoughts to ponder here.

Imagination is what drives the world Kay, or the better parts of it. It accounts for inventions and writings and a myriad of other things.
A good take on this idea.
One thing ... line two "have just" does not fit the flow. Just a thought.

In an abstract & creative way, it feels like you're saying we are (or we become) what we visualize. I really do believe this. Whatever we carry around as our picture of "how it is" -- that's how it is! Different people can perceive the same thing so differently becuz it's all about how we perceive what's going on around us. It's actually a little maddening for the control freaks, that we can't MAKE a certain outcome happen, but if we can remain focused on a certain way of living, this way will manifest . . . often in ways that would exceed anything specific we may have tried to imagine. I love how your writing is always very thought-provoking! (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Reading this makes me so happy! I'll have to remember this the next time someone scolds me for letting my imagination run away with me.

Everything made by humans was once an idea that someone imagined. From the homes we live in to the tasty dishes we cook, everything was imagined before it was created. Unless you're eating unmodified, raw vegetable/fruits all the time, much of what we eat came from imagining what flavors might go well together, followed by trial and error. Of course not all ideas turn out to be good ones, but how will we know if we never try?

I like the way you raise this as a philosophical point and introduce your concept in that first line. It has definitely set me thinking. I might make the second line say 'We just have to live it right in our heads'.
I guess though my own thinking is that imagination, although often based upon fantasy is a mixture of known facts, seen or heard or felt or tasted then projected into our own construct. Sometimes that imagined 'thing' does become a reality.
