I will...

I will...

A Poem by Kay Salisu Titilola
"

...

"
I Will...
Seize the vision,
Seize the mission,
Get ambitious,
Hit the future.

Keep the race on,
Keep my head up,
Keep my faith strong,
Keep my breath on.

The game is on,
Not yet over.
See my triumph,
Taking over,

Start with a crawl,
Then to walk fast.
Till I can run,
Then...
Grow wings and fly.

This is really inspiring! Such a lovely piece which increases in rhythm as the protagonist gains momentum - nicely done! :)

Thank you so much for your lovely review, Laura.
Very defiant and uplifting piece. I like the way you have constructed this with an uncertain voice but one which grows and swells with confidence and determination.

I love your voice in this most powerful piece, Kay. It resonates throughout the entirety of your poem, and gives your reader something to walk away with...like inspiration, encouragement and will.

Your image presentation is most beautiful, too. Wonderful to meet you, Kay!

THE BEST THING I'VE SEEN FROM YOU! This sounds so polished, it could be used for a commercial (like a self-esteem campaign) on mass TV! It could be put to music, but it's also very strong, just your bold, straightforward words. I'm very particular about "rah! rah!" messages. Usually they sound too unrealistic & gung-ho in a mindless, dumb way, as if mindless of what it can be for some people to dig down & find a positive thought about life. Even tho your message is very "rah! rah!" for some reason, it hits all the right notes. I truly deeply believe that we have to decide each & every day that we want to be happy. It doesn't happen automatically. Life sucks for most people, even when times are good, people get depressed. This is a great slice of inspiration. I'm really proud of you when I look back over the past few months & how hard you work at writing & how much you've improved. I feel honored to have witnessed this journey of yours so far. You will go far becuz of your work ethic, your verve for improving, & your sensitivity about living . . . but most of all, you have something definite to say each time you write. (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie
