Little Isn't Little

Little Isn't Little

A Poem by Kay Salisu Titilola
"

...

"

Little light in darkness compensates vision.

Little breeze in summer caress the skin.

Just a little flame could create warmth.

And a drop of water could cool the heat.

Simple sorry could end a great war.

Simple smile could bring reconciliation.

Simple embrace could warmth the heart,

As a sweet imagination would make men fly.

A pinch of salt could change the taste,

A flinch of thought could heal the pain.

A clinch of love could save the day,

Like an handful of help could make men great.

Author's Note

Kay Salisu Titilola
I don't think anything is too little to be neglected. No matter how little it might be, I don't think it's really little because it has the tendency of making a change.

What do you think?

This is a really nice piece of writing. I like the repetition in the use of little and simple. It nails down the sentiment quite well. Good on ya. CD

This is simply an extraordinary write with deep mystical roots
and a yearning to understand everything, even the little things
that seem so unimportant.

In this grand design of space and life, everything is equal,
no one or anything is greater or more important than anything else.

Bravo, Kay!

My pleasure, Kay!
Of course. The little things are often the ones who make the great changes. I've enjoyed your clarity of writting.

Thank you so much, Shandra.
dear Kay... I like your ideas about "little"... it's the little things that matter...
the song of a bird... the blueberry sweet... the blink of an eye... a smile...
little raindrops with a rainbow... all these things are important as we grow.
truly, Pat

Your poem has a very nice spirit. I suggest ...

Little breeze in summer [caresses] the skin. OR LIttle summer breezes caress the skin.
[A] simple sorry could end a great war.
[A] simple smile could bring reconciliation.
[A] simple embrace could [warm] the heart,

This is very clever and insightful. Goes to show how much a little thought and introspection can save so much. Very nicely expressed Kay.
