My Mastermind.

My Mastermind.

A Poem by Kay Salisu Titilola
"

"
If I wasn't lost,
I wouldn't have learnt how to find myself.

If I wasn't broken,
I wouldn't have understood the puzzling game of life.

If I wasn't a looser,
I wouldn't have tried more harder to be a winner.

Thanks to my experience,
For always being my mastermind.

This work shows a philosophical bent toward the victories and defeats we all encounter in life. There is an acknowledgment that we win some and we lose some, but we can learn from both, especially the latter. Such an attitude is an insulation against discouragement. Verse 3 should be reviewed for both spelling and grammar.

Thank you so much, John.
This is a well-constructed message using thought-provoking examples from real life. We have all felt broken or lost or stupid at times & for me, at those times, I was learning the most about living. In V3, "looser" should be "loser" . . . and also, "more harder" sounds awkward & does not say what you want it to say. This is how I would change it: "I wouldn't have tried so hard to be a winner." This is one of your best "cerebral" pieces ("thinking" about life, more than being a "feeling" message). Fondly, Margie

Yes, experience teaches us so much in life. Easy to identify with this one. I liked it. Lydi*

Thank you, Lydi.
Experience really teaches practically the best.
You’re right, there is always an upside to every low. That’s how people bounce back when they fall, with more knowledge and understanding than before. Thanks for sharing your yin yang of a poem. I loved it!

We always fall that we may learn how to rise.
There is much wisdom in this piece of poetry Kay. To appreciate life fully we have to experience the extremities at times. If you haven:t experienced true sadness, you wouldn't be able to recognise total joy. Works with many emotions.

Beautiful expressed, a lovely uplifting, motivational poem. About seeing the good in bad and hard experiences. And how they shape us and make us who we are today. Yes, it is easy to get down and sad and feel reject and never to move on again. But your open highlights the facts you can learn from these negative emotions and overcome and make you a better person on top. It's so easy to just give up in life. But with self-love motivation and determination you can overcome.

Thank you so much, Dawn.
we have to trip to find out if we can get up after the fall.
life will bruise us,but will the bruises heal?
that is the hope.
needs a bit of smoothing out...but strong expression here.
