Light shines in darkness,
To bring a bright vision.
Sound sounds it's soundness,
That man may hear its words.
Beauty isn't for fashion,
It makes men appreciate nature.
We men as living creatures,
Can also be here to impact our world.
I like using contrasts, which you've done well. It surprises me how much I love the 3rd line (usually I do not go for repetition, but your underlying msg is thought-provoking, so it isn't mindless repetition for emphasis). Overall your msg brings to mind my own personal preference to focus on the natural beauty of a person or any living thing . . . I find some adornment to be a useless distraction (I never wear makeup or jewelry, etc.) You've left this poem open for interpretation (((HUGS))) Fondly, Margie

Your poem speaks to me of choices. We all have the ability to choose not only what we do, but how we see the world we live in.
I like your view, Kay. You see the world through the lens of hope, and that can lead to wonderful places. It can also help to sustain you when life (inevitably) gets tough.
I enjoy your forays into philosophy. You start a conversation. Good work, here.

Really appreciated.
beauty in nature, beauty in humans...we all can bring a light to the darkness if project love into the shadows of being...
really like the alliteration in line 3...
no beauty is not window dressing...and the beauty inside of us...certainly not for fashion...
really like where you went with this piece...and you allowed us to take our own road through it.

Thank you so much, Jacob.
I really value your constructive point of view.
As far as being here for a reason, I believe that this is
simply human ego telling us this: it's defective information,
the reliance on being here for a reason.
