Striving For Nothing.A Poem by Kay Salisu Titilola...
Striving to live in the exposure to death,
Men trying to climb up the slope of hell. Drops of tears, rivers of sweat, Hearts cracking through the flows of fear. Phobia of dreads, scariness in tense, Men running away, just to nowhere. Right to the left, dusk till dawn, Mysteries keep pushing a lot to them. Death sit in a place far yet near, Watching the unrest mankind running for nothing, Sheol lies in wait, smiling with contempt. With it's eagle eye stuck on humanity. "Let's not be in haste," they told themselves, "Let's not be too quick to end their suffering." But men, blindfolded with infinite hope, Keep fighting only to catch the whirlwind. © 2019 Kay Salisu TitilolaAuthor's Note
