SUFFERING

SUFFERING

A Poem by Kay Salisu Titilola
"

Suffering isn't a good experience, let's learn to show love.

"

War in Syria, war in Sudan,

War in nations that claimed men’s life.

Houses were burn, streets in chaos,

Guns were shot aimless around.

People in rush ran for their lives,

And they ran in hope for survival.

Many lost their families and their houses.

And were forced to leave their lovely land.

They walk on foot from town to town,

Through the arid and droughty lands,

Searching for places to rest their mind,

Hoping they could found a better life.

They live for days without a meal,

Even water, they couldn’t found.

If it’s their dung they found, they eat,

Just for them to be alive.

Heavy rain and flooding falls,

All on them it falls and dries.

Speedy wind would struck their world,

With nowhere to run and hide.

In the hottest sunny day,

Through the coldest snowy night,

Bare on ground they sleep and wake,

With the hope to die sooner.

They cried for help but no one came,

And those that came couldn’t help.

Their lives are worsening every day,

I think they need an urgent help.

Let’s save their life, let’s save their world,

Let us give them a better chance.

They need our help, they need our love,

We have to try the best we can.

I was just hungry for some minute and I felt what the refugee could be going through without food. I think they urgently need some help.
What do you think?
