Competition

Competition

A Poem by Kay Salisu Titilola
"

That is what this life is made of.

"

I must have it, I must win it,
That's what the life really consist.
No one want to quit competing,
until they see the end of it.

All want to sing the song of victory,
and smile to feel so warmly.
Caring not about others,
but always fight to get all they need.

Young men are showing there talent,
old ones are claiming the highest,
everyone want to be on the throne,
where the best are made to be seated.

Mothers would never recognise their daughter.
Fathers and sons would be out of their mind.
The whole family will no more be mild,
when it come to the fight for power.

competition brings up challenges.
It create in its victim a lot of courage.
It makes the weak go stronger,
and make them to feel unconquered.

It's a group with only a leader,
but, to no one the man is known.
No one could predict the end of the fight.
Until you heard the "game is over."

sometime the weak survives,
while the strong got overcome.
The hopeless may found a chance,
and be the best in overall.

No one want to be a looser,
every one want to be a winner.
Trying all the way they could,
to get them ahead of other.

People would have be in static position,
if there is nothing called competition.
Every man would have been equal,
if there's no fight to lead the world.
Since victory can never come without war,
then no competition can come without survival.

'Competition'
Kay Salisu Titilola,
This poem brings forth the importance of people putting forth their best efforts in education, art, business, politics...etc. The beauty of hard work and hard work ethics is always very apparent as is the lack thereof. This was a joy to read. It reminds me so much of the people in my parent's generation and my grandparents as well. I'm not sure about our current day. Does everyone diserve a trophy just because? Beautifully done.
Blessings,
Kathy
