Chapter TwoA Chapter by Kaylie Terrell
My heart hammered as my family slipped through the front door with grins on most of their faces. Celeste, my mom never smiled, she thought feelings made you weak. Celeste was far from weak even if she did show her feelings, she was a feral fighter and had a attitude to match. Aria was bickering with Riley like always when I tried to find her.
" You have really got to stop hitting me!" Riley growled at Aria, just as Aria cracked his nose with her fist breaking his nose again. Riley's nose dripped blood and he held his nose in place so it would set correctly. Aria's giggles filled the room and Riley's eyes went midnight blue. He stalked across the room to face her again. He grabbed her arm and yanked it behind her back, until she yelped. Aria gave him a frown and she walked towards me. Riley stuck his foot out and she tripped. " Damnit Riley!" Aria yelled. " Riley that is enough! Go to your room now. The rest of you do so also. Aria it is time for you to go home" Celeste yelled. I waved bye to Aria and climbed up the steps but not before I heard Riley call out, " Bye Farrah!" Farrah was Aria's real name but she hated it so she went by half of her middle name which was Aria. I climbed my stairs and flopped onto my bed. I gazed out the window and saw the half gibbous moon. That meant that over the next few days a full moon would activate the curse of the Callums. Something my family would have to protect me from since I was just a fragile human. The Callums were strong and trained fighters but it also helped that they were werewolves. I shut my eyes but my mind was filled with thoughts of werewolves and vampires.
