Chapter One Pt 2

All of my brothers and my mom rushed out the door, armed in weapons and my heart sank. These intruders were after me and if anyone hurt my family because of me. My shoulder shuddered and my eyes welled up at the thought. Aria looked over at the perfect time and wrapped me in a hug. I looked out the window and fought the panic welling up in my throat. It was a way uneven match, 6 of my family members against what looked like almost 20 other vampires. The moon glinted off their pale white bodies and silver blue eyes glowed in the moonlight. I strained my hearing across the field. 

     "We come in peace, Celeste. We have a message for Cassandra." A man's deep voice repeated over and over again. 

     " You can't and won't see nor touch my daughter!" Celeste growled before punching the man in the nose. I heard the crunch and the gasp of pain. 

     " We are from the Amaranthine council" The man growled. 

     " I'm sorry sir!" Logan gasped and unlocked the man he had in a headlock as he realized who they were fighting.

     The huge group of vampires walked towards the farmhouse and my heart rate quickened. 

   " Cassandra Pierce and family you are invited to attend a council meeting by Mr. Amaranthine himself." 

   " That's a huge honor!" Logan exclaimed. 

    " We accept your invitation." All of my family besides me stated in sync.
