A Lover Lost

I have no idea lol

A lover lost, A lover’s scorn

And one’s heart forever torn

But she still had open arms

Because she’d fallen for their charms

 

A dark haired devil in disguise

One that had chocolate eyes

Nice tanned skin to top it off

Attracted to them like a moth

 

But she wasn’t the only one,

Who saw this person as their sun.

A boy that had swoopy hair,

Who lived his life without a care.

 

This boy put an end to them,

A love that was easy to condemn.

This boy seemed like a shining star,

When he showed up in his flashy car

 

he boy was often compared to fog.

Treated everyone worse than a dog.

 

~He often made it hard to see,

What was right in front of me.~

 

All she wanted was some peace

But she was lost like the Golden Fleece

Walked around feeling numb

Wondering what she had become

 

Love is lost to the storm

As if it were an old art form

A girl filled with beautiful sorrow

"I don’t want to see the ‘morrow"

 

Is it better to have loved and lost?

Or is love of too great a cost?

Is a broken heart worth the pain?

Worth all of the emotional drain?

 

But to me the answer is yes

"A piece ofmy heart, they’ll always possess."

And should the boy ever give up,

Then she’d be their pick-me-up

 

Her love for them will never end

If their heart’s broken, then she’ll mend

 

A love that always did ring true
