The Colloway Trilogy
Book One: Kayley

Dear Diary,
It’s been six years since Kellen, my little cub, was born. It’s true he is Cory-Lynn & Kayley’s half-brother but they don’t treat him in any way except as the little brother he is.
My loving little pups.
It’s not surprising to me that Kayley seems to be more motherly then Cory, Cory is so much more like Luke. I know Kayley will protect Kellen when the time comes. Kaylie, taking care of Kellen as well as she does, proves to me that she will make a splendid mother one day.
While Kaylie and Kellen can live a somewhat carefree childhood, Cory doesn’t get that pleasure. She is resilient and vigilant. She never stops training to try and block her father’s, what we have come to call ‘Spirit Strike’s’. He will randomly try to enter Cory’s mind and try to take control of her. To drown her pure heart in darkness. When this happens she tries to block him with her ‘Aura Wall’ a mystical cloak that protects her from mental attacks, it’s not perfected or strong. She has been trying to perfect it for almost two years, if she will ever be able to is still in question. But I have faith in her.
Cory is very stubborn, she doesn’t like to show weakness so she has not told her siblings her secret, I haven’t told them either, for it’s not my secret to tell, but very soon they will have to know the truth.

I don’t just fear for my children, but for my big brother and his wife. Unfortunately for me, Cam, and Alexa. Our lights are almost here, we will no longer be able to watch the young ones grow. I also fear that when we do enter our lights he will not stop trying to turn Cory against those precious to her, it seems pretty clear his stubbornness will continue on. Cory tells me that the attacks are coming more often and that each one feels stronger. She doesn’t go outside because she senses him in the wind.

One thing that gives me hope is that both Cory and Kaylie have inherited ‘The Doppelganger’ the rare and unique ability of my family. Anyone with The Doppelganger can copy a power or ability they see, it’s rare that this ability takes affect when the ability is simply spoken. Someone can read about a technique and copy it almost instantly.
I also fear that this will bring distress to my children, if Cory has gained the ability to copy a power by merely hearing its name then Luke will be more vigilant and use this to his advantage.

I have to go now, and I know that this will be my last entry, my thoughts sealed in this book. I hope one day when my children return here that they will find this diary that holds the key to unlocking the secrets to my family’s house, the wonders that are locked away are beyond belief.

I love you my little pups, you are my world and I will always be watching you, never forget. Stay together and trust your hearts. Goodbye.

Disclaimer: The reason why it says "By: Amy Knight and Bella Moon" is because when I decided to go with an allias name for not only my poetry, but the story, I chose to go with the name "Amy Knight". Once Elly found out, well, it didn't take her long to come up with "Bella Moon". Can you figure out why she chose the last name of "Moon"? (I'll give you a hint. Look at my Allias's Last name. It should click into place then =P)
