The Beneficial Murders

The Beneficial Murders

A Poem by Kayla Gentry ( Kyrie Kerr)

The beneficial murders

Watch my shoelace trailing,
Wondering when ill trip,
Gaze at my shadow dancing,
Bite my bottom lip.

I know it’s just a corner,
Like the one before,
But this time it is different,
There’s a blood stain on the floor.

The sun reflects off the deepest red,
Still glistening on the ground,
I follow it till I see her,
My heart begins to pound

Her lips are bluer then her eyes,
Which rolled back in her head,
But still she twitches frequently,
My blood replaced with lead.

I hear some people screaming,
But they sound far away,
As I turn to see them,
I see he’s come to play

I see the glint of metal,
As he raises it in the air,
I find it all confusing
A golf club parts my hair.

Im lying on the floor right now,
My face pressed in the mud,
Watch the blue lights flash around me,
Tainted by my blood.

This is how I hope it ends,
Coz then you might get caught,
Your life is mine, you owe me this,
Your freedom cant be bought.
