Of Wolf and Man

In the fog of the night,
The clouds break free of the dark,
And down shines the moon so bright

Eerie is the glow piercing the black sky,
Illuminating the tall trees,
Grieving the suns periodic goodbye

In all of its glory the moon shines on,
Glistening off the blood,
Left in the wake of its deadly spawn

Judgment without compassion,
Eyes of deadly fear,
Gleam through the darkness,
Paralyzing you with immortal leer

Dark fur bristles against the leaves,
The forest quiet and still,
For no one he grieves,
Killing just for the thrill

A fatal howl shatters the silence,
As the wolves draw near,
Black figures you can only glance,
Grows that your soul they sear

Turn and run,
It’s your best bet,
You’re lucky,
That they haven’t got you yet

Silver dagger,
Cursed by the moon,
Is the only way,
Your death won’t be so soon

So close the wolf man is,
You can feel the rancid breath,
Hot on your neck,
Turn around and fight,
So in vain won’t be your death…

Take the dagger,
Stab deep into the heart,
Watch as the once deadly wolf,
Begins to fall apart

In his final death throws,
A claw slashes your chest,
You feel a chance take over you,
Deadly curse,
And there’s nothing you can do

Muscle piles upon muscle,
Claws grow sharp as knives,
Teeth fill a new muzzle,
Read to take some lives

Fur grows long and rough,
Eyes glow bright gold,
Blood lust takes over you,
One kill is never enough
