Diary of a Madman-Entry Three-

Dear diary,
I took a dance with death yesterday,
I felt my soul rip open,
And my demons begin to play

What am I?
This question can’t be answered,
Not because there isn’t one,
It because I’m afraid of what it will be...

Lying on that cold ground,
Dying with no one around,
I look up with teary eyes,
And wonder why no one answers my cries...

My blood ran icy through my veins,
When I thought of her that night,
All I wanted to do is look into those green eyes again,
And have the butterflies in my stomach take flight...

What I feel I know is wrong,
That’s why I can’t say her name,
I have waited so long,
And still I feel the same...

Every second,
Of every minute,
Of every hour,
Of every day...

I cannot take it anymore,
I just want to stop,
I was far enough,
To attempt to take my own life...

Thank the stars,
I didn’t succeed,
Because I wouldn’t be able to see her again,
So into the light I lead...

I question myself again,
I can never be sure why,
Who am I really?
Why did I want to die?

With out her in my mind,
I could live with out question,
But last night if she wasn’t there,
I probably would have died...

So I suffer with the pain,
But I live all the same,
What brings me down,
Saved my life,
It’s an endless circle,
And I must break this cycle...

Her image burns in my head,
The scars of unrequited love,
Shine like fire in my eyes,
And this flame,
Is what’s to blame,
For my pain,
And the reason,
I still... ask... why?
