Fortress Of Tears
My heart was once protected
It lived in a fortress of bricks
Each brick of pain carefully laid
Then a wrecking ball of love
Shattered my well made citadel
Leaving my heart open and vulnerable
There was no fear, no doubts
Only love and trust
Now I feel my heart dying of exposure
And with every tear that falls a brick is laid
