Heartbreaker

eh...just a poem...I guess...

Heartbreaker

I gave you my heart,
But not my soul.
I gave you my affection,
But not my love.
I gave you my interest,
That you did not return.
Placed me on the backburner,
A place that I am familiar with.
In this dark corner once again,
A spot where I wait to be discovered.
"How did this happen?" I exclaim.
Looking into the bright sunlight outside.
Praying that you would see the same light,
Which shines upon the trees outside.
I thought that you were an angel,
Only to discover that you were a demon within.
I cared for you,
Wanted to be with you,
But in turn had my heart,
Broken by you.
You did not give me a reason,
Only an excuse.
One which I am familiar with.
"Quit calling me, get the hint."
The message said to me.
"What the hell did I do?"
I ask the Heavens above.
"Nothing, I lost interest."
You answer back.
Thinking that I understood an excuse which I don't believe.
"Give me a chance." I ask,
Hoping to recieve some forgiveness.
Wondering to myself why you turned to ice on me.
"No. Have a nice life."
You answer back to me,
With a line I am all too familiar with.
I know that I will see you again,
And know when I do,
I pray that your heart will be broken.
(Like mine, by you.)
For you deserve it.
I did nothing to deserve what you've done to me.
And in the end you will see,
That you are the one who wronged me
