Monster

This one was a weird one to write and I have no idea where it popped up from one minute i was doing something, next minute BAM! Poem in my face! Haha

And Security descends to the grave
No gentleness left to save
The crumbling innocence left
For now it is best

The Monster slinks back
To a cave where light will lack
Streaming back to blackened shadows
Ignoring the feeble caws of crows

And as the sun comes up
There is little luck
As purity stays deceased

And reality is hence creased
The monster waits for another day
To mark out its innocent prey
