midnight visitor

A small girl who has a ghostly visitor every night. But will he always steal the night with her?

Hello Ghost
who's dark room have you slipped into tonight?
how many dreams did you share with unaware sleepers?
what makes you return to my room every night?
Is my mind more open? Are my dreams more affording?
or is my childish personality appealing to such a young spirit?
well whatever the reason, your side of the bed will always be open
and my music box will always remain unlocked for you
to play our lullaby.
will you always come to me?
will there be a night where my senses are neutral and my room is ghastly quiet?
where are you then?
has another girls dreams enraptured you?
will I ever feel your amiable hand on my shoulder again while our music box plays?
I know i cant keep a spirit in my room forever like a house cat.
But the secrets between myself and my fair ghostly friend are refreshing to think about as drift off to sleep to your cold touch
If our time is expired, forget me if you must
But please
dont sing the same lullaby to your next keeper

i really enjoyed reading this poem =]

it almost makes me jealous that i dont have a ghost visiting me every night to share my secrets with.
i also like how the ghost was compared to a house cat. ghostly spirits will wander the earth forever and will eventually need to move on unlike a cat who you can keep in your room as long as you like.

Your poem flowed very nicely and was extremely unique.
