Death has finally come

Death has finally come

A Poem by youngpoet98
"

An old woman, who's life has not treated her well, dies in a hospital bed. Death, in a sense, has rescued her.

"

Laying in this room full of silence and grief, my body becomes weightless.

The blinding lights in the sky tell me that the end has finally come.

As they pull the sheet over my face, memories of sorrow and pain flash before me.

The cutest feline in the world could not have thawed my frozen heart.

But when the memories finally pass, I can feel my spirit awaken.

My brittle bones soar into the sky.

My lips curve into a smile reserved for sunny days and butterflies.

Now that death has taken me, I can finally live again
