James (the vampire’s) P.O.V

When the wind blew, Bella’s hair waved in the wind. She had a certain smell to her, a smell that only humans could have. At that point I knew she was human, and not a vampire. I tried so hard to fight the temptation but her smell was irresistible. I got into my striking position and so did the Cullens. They were ready to defend her from the Three of us. That made it more tempting. I knew that if I were to try and get her now, that the odds of me winning were not good. There was seven of them and three of us. I decided to wait until she was away from all of the Cullens. Later that night when I went to her house I could hear her arguing with what I think is her father. She told him that she has to go back to her mothers house. She came out of her door with a duffle bag full of clothing. She threw it into her truck and she headed down the road with three of the others. I followed them to the Cullens house and waited until they were going to head out again. Later

I found my self following the sent of Bella’s perfume. The next day It seemed as though that the sent was gone. That was when I realized they were leading me away from her. I thought about where she might have gone. Maybe she went back to her mothers place? I ran as fast as I could in the opposite direction. I finally made it to Bella’s mothers house. I walked in and looked around. No sight or sent of her. I walked around the house when I realized that she had a tape from her chid hood in her T.V. I played it and listened carefully. Then planned out what I should do next. I also noticed that there was a message on the answering machine. When I hit play I recognized the voice immediately, it was Bella. She was letting her mother know that she was fine.

Since I cannot go to Bella she must come to me; I now have the number of where Bella is I could call her and find away to get her to meet me somewhere. All of a sudden I realized that on the tape in her T.V, her mother sounds scared and worried for Bella and says her name a lot. It says “Bella! Bella! Where are you!?” I picked up the phone and brought it to the T.V. I called back the number that Bella called under. Once someone answered the phone, I hit play on the tape. I could hear someone in the background saying “Bella, it’s your mom, she sounds worried.” and I paused the tape. Once Bella was put on the phone I restart on the tape. “Bella, Bella! Where are you!” Bella answered Don’t worry mom I’m fine. I stopped the tape and put the phone by my head. I told her to be very careful to not say anything until I tell her to. Then I said “Do you understand? Answer yes or no.” She replied with a yes. I started telling her to say things to make it so that the “others” thought she was talking to her mom. I told her to go into the other room so that we could talk in private. I then convinced her to meet me at her old ballet studio.
