I Thought I Knew You

I thought I knew you in my heart when you spoke those words to me. I did not understand why you said them to me. I laid down on my bed, thinking for a minute - why you said those words to hurt me. Then I realized you didn't love me the way I loved you. I woke up, realizing what we had was not meant to be. Even though, I cried but I must go on with my life and love myself and be happy.
