PROMPT: how you think your life would change if you achieved your dream

PROMPT: how you think your life would change if you achieved your dream

A Poem by A Glow in the Pit of My Soul

That fully depends
on which
dream
I would be achieving.
Those dreams,
the ones I thought I wanted?

My life would be different
in the sense of financial stability
and possessions
material things
using smoke and mirrors
to convince you that you had reached
success;

the American dream.

But I’m not sure
it would be rife with joy

ripe
with the feeling of truly living

slick
with the sensuality of freedom

the seduction
that every
single
day

could be as different
as I wanted.
