La Tormenta de CorazonesA Poem by A Glow in the Pit of My Soul
The rare moments that we kiss -
and I mean k i s s - where our arms are pulling each other towards temporary stability, our downturned lashes softly tickling our cheeks like foreplay full of innocence. Our lips softening, faces mellowing, the world around us fades to a blurry gray- the tension, temporarily lifted. I am floating, suspended in the air as your tongue parts my lips and your warmth becomes my own. The electric crackle between Your chest and Mine pronounces to the world below that our Love is a lightning storm; Our charges, temporarily equalized and shooting firebolts through the atmosphere. The reverberations of thunder, just the rumble of our hammering pulse. The chemical charge between us could light up the darkest night sky, awaken the deaf to the sensation of sound, and shock a stopped heart back to its rightful rhythm. © 2015 A Glow in the Pit of My Soul |
