"Nobody asked if I wanted to be human, maybe I just wanted to be a brick."

"Nobody asked if I wanted to be human, maybe I just wanted to be a brick."

A Poem by DarkStar

"Nobody asked if I wanted to be human, maybe I just wanted to be a brick."
Built into the wall of humanity, I play a part which demands my conformity while begging my uniqueness.
And I am not the brick, nor the human I desire to be.
And with the best intentions, you force a role upon me.
Human or brick,
Is there a difference.
I'll try to be the best of who I can, for you.
Only, and ever.
For you.
