One to the Other

One to the Other

A Poem by Koari

Bipolar disorder has many versions, yet similar traits.
It is a curious mentality to have.
Perhaps it is because of the spontaneous emotions
Overflowing at an uncontrollable pace.
Love turns to hate, peace turns to chaos.
An ever present roller coaster through life,
Regret to confidence, sorrow to joy.

Do I possess this mentality?
I do to its second degree.
Some days I feel like I can conquer the world.
Other days it is hard for me to leave my be.
Rightly so, my moods can change within moments.
Darkness turns to light, sweet turns to sour.
Everyday is a struggle to maintain balance,
Resistance into compliance, and defeat into victory.

This is what my life is like having Bipolar 2 Disorder.

Me too. I go through week or monthly cycles.

I fight my own momentum when I'm manic and i fight gravity when I'm depressed.

But I've learned to balance, and still do. But actually a lot of artist have this.

Thanks for sharing.
