Always been there

To my girlfriend. We have always known each other, but we hadn't seen each other for 10 years. Our friendship was rekindled and love blossomed.

Always been there.

They rubbed shoulders,

exchanged words, saw

ones imperfections and

smiled afar.

Always been there.

What little did they know

that one day they would

meet, rekindle a friendship

and a bond that would

make them complete.

His hand reached out,

grabbed hold and cradled

her in his arms, gave her

hope again to blossom

once more.

I can absolutely relate to this poem. My boyfriend and I had a very rocky start to our relationship but now I consider him my absolute best friend and the one person in the world that I can rely on anymore. Even though our start was rocky, I knew he was the one for me, he just had to wake up and realize that I was the one for him. Thank you for sharing your piece. It was beautiful and made me think of my love, which isn't hard to do, but I love it when I find something that I am reading brings me to him. Thanks again.
