Your UglyA Poem by kayBiE
Can I strip you off of your beautiful
And bask in your ugly? Your imperfections and fears draw me To a monster you keep feeding With the silence you keep in your heart Where all doors are locked Not even God has the keys to his own creation A creature of his own reflection Yet his walls are built so high That they're "spirit" proof Not even the devil can break them down with his fork. Trapped in your own mind drowning in your own cynical thoughts Living off of your pride And breathing in something you yearn Yet dread reaching out for. Or are you lost in your own self importance That you're your own creator? And Bury yourself with misconceptions? Can I dwell in your spirit And see all its rainbow colours From when you were a kid To your hopes and dreams? Or would I be invading a mystery only understood by you? I've been looking for a path that leads to you Yet i keep being led astray and straight to those eyes That only emit a poker face I keep getting lost in your pout like lips When I'm actually trying to have tea with your soul And paint it a picture of beautiful nothings. Can i bask in your ugly? So I can move my hands and feel on it like a blind woman and give it foreplay So that it too knows that it's beautiful is much appreciated...
