Memories: A Letter To YOU...

sometimes i become nostalgic

and wonder how life would've been:

if we never drifted apart;

if we never let anyone come

between our friendship;

if we still stayed children

and decided not to grow up

but these question linger in my

mind, the more my life falls apart

i ponder the happiness you gave to me

how we would joke around and act all crazy

sometimes i wish that:

you didn't love the material things;

that you didn't want to fit in;

that you didn't have to please people

by changing the only you we knew

we wouldn't have become strangers

walk past each other as though we've never 

known each other before 

its all wearing me out

i feel beaten up

fatigue as taken over me

and solitude is all i know

don't you ever reminisce

go to a place far away when we had it all?

i have met people and they all

don't come close to you

they all make me feel safe but 

somehow i feel as though

they also gonna leave me again

like you did me

if it were possible to go back

to a naive world

would you come with me?
