Submissive Phoenix

Submissive Phoenix

A Poem by Kay

When you sigh, I hold my feathers and breath;

I’ll exhale when the sun rises again,

but right now I want to get lost in your darkness:

the vicious bite to my lip,

your nails in my skin,

the way you snake your body,

the sensational moan in your song,

the hypnotizing hue of your eyes,

the soft strokes of your hair,

dear god, the way you say my name..

I exist where no map can find me -

    no place known by the mind.

My lungs fill with your profound essence;

    what deity could’ve fashioned your flesh?

I’m at a loss of normality here,

    owned by the one that engenders my fear.

My predator of eternal addiction,

    killing in passion and resurrecting me again.
