Eternal Lullaby

Eternal Lullaby

A Poem by KAVIBES

Our last hope survives when the eyes have met
Touched by purity of angels sent
The rhythm deepens as it is steady
Ready...
Set...
What is next?
What is past and what is present?
Do we run off into the sunset
Or do we stay frozen at the fence?
You weren't meant to be my consequence
But against a greater evil, I had no defense
Longing to feel your warmth
Time passed but not the storm
The music had ceased
In his eyes, you were a disease
But so was I with my burns of a degree
There you lay
Remind me how I failed
I can't feel sorry
Not so you wouldn't have your own story
But so you wouldn't see him leave
And my poison, you wouldn't breathe
Now all that's left is sleep
And your name for me to keep

I wonder how you dealt... emotional turmoil scars, and yet it makes FEEL so alive...
