Neverending Stripes

He and I are two people,

We have separate interests,

We live in two separate countries,

I don't see him,

He doesn't see me,

But one thing we have in common,

Is a wildfire that can't be stopped,

Water attempts to douse it,

But the fact is,

Not a pool or even an ocean can stop it,

No blankets will ever cover it up,

Together we'll take on the world and its cruelties,

And cherish our lives as one whole.
