In Memory of my grandad

A poem i wrote only a couple of days after my grandad past away

You've gone now so far away
but really your still here and won't go away

I think about the way you smiled
and helped me through every fight

Soon i'll be with you, i'll go up there
then i won't miss you cause i'll be there

You knew i loved you with your newcastle style
i never thought i'd see the day where you left me and went away

You were like a teddy bear
the way you held me and wore your hair

I love you dearly with all my heart
but please don't cry cause were not really apart

I miss you now but i'm not angry, i love you more each and everyday
i'll let you rest now but i won't stay away

I still watch tom and jerry grandad
and when i do it reminds me of you and i feel close to you once again

I wish everyday that they had found a cure
i just wish you could see your great granddaughter grow up

It will never be goodbye grandad
just see you soon

I love you grandad norman
forever and always
