La Chute de L'ÉtoileA Poem by KatsuraFrom a two noun prompt: bead and channel. Workshopping in my Poetry Writing 1 class.
On the south side of the English Channel
There is a quaint old bar. It claims the name "La Chute de L'Étoile", The Falling of the Star. When you enter the beaded curtain, Leave your worries in the car. Good and bad, bon et mal, they all come from afar. This is the place where dreams are made, The windows left ajar. When you sit down at the barstool, your good time no man can mar, For you see, doux fille, sweet child, Home is where you are. © 2020 Katsura |
